Hyundai has joined the black-out trend with the Night Edition of its crossover Kona. The optional package replaces most chrome-coated elements with black ones.
The radiator grille, wheels and certain other exterior details become glossy black in this new version. The cabin follows suit, but not completely so: for example, the pedal pads retain their shine.
On an interesting side note, customers can choose from a rather liberal selection of colors, including not just Ultra Black and Galactic Gray (see photos), but also Chalk White.
Powering the series is a 1.6-liter engine rated at 175 hp (130 kW). Transmission type is seven-speed dual-clutch.
The Hyundai Kona Night Edition will go on sale in September. The quantity is limited, but the manufacturer does not provide any specific numbers.
