Hyundai Kona EV presents specs

Following the reveal of the refreshed Kona SUV in late 2022, Hyundai started this year by posting the specifications of the petrol and hybrid variants. The all-electric version completes the lineup now.

The buyers can choose between two battery sizes. Standard offers 48.4 kilowatt-hours of power storage and 342 km (212 miles) of range. Long Range offers 65.4 kWh and 490 km (304 miles). Both utilize a single front-mounted electric motor rated at 114.5 kW (155 metric horsepower) in the base spec and 160 kW (218 metric hp) in the premium spec. The peak torque is identical between the two, reaching 255 Nm (188 lb-ft).

The company claims the biggest battery takes 41 minutes to charge from zero to 80 percent. A feature called V2L enables bidirectional charging (useful for sharing electricity with external power appliances).
