Hyundai presents its Kona Jayde concept for SEMA

The Hyundai Jayde Concept is based on the latest Kona generation (see video) and showcases how easy it is to upgrade your stock car with accessories such as a bike rack.

The SEMA show car has been co-built with Air Design and outfitted with a special body kit including a front bumper trim, metallic side sill applications and a rear spoiler. Eibach springs and a 50mm (2-inch) reduction in ride height highlight the off-road status of the vehicle.

For its own part, Hyundai has cocooned the concept in a stylish turquoise wrap and put it on custom HRE wheels. The shiny trim bits all around have been swapped for black ones. Inside, Recaro Sporster seats trimmed in colorful plaid fabric with white backs are perhaps the biggest addition.

The list of accessories mentions a roof box and a Thule bike rack. The company says the Vintage Electric Rally bike mounted on it will come in handy for those last-mile trips.
