Hyundai Kona Electric cosplays a performance car with N Line trim package

The Electric version of Hyundai Kona (see video) has received a lukewarm N Line variant coming to the market with sportier looks and more premium features, but no added muscle. The production starts in February, and the first deliveries in Europe are planned for the spring.

The exterior takes on a sportier look thanks to more aggressive bumpers and a black roof. The latter costs extra, but you cannot order it for the standard Kona Electric. The N Like spec also adds new 19-inch wheels and gloss-black side mirrors.

Interior novelty boils down to a new, ergonomically shaped steering wheels, seats with enhanced lateral support and red stitching, and metallic pedal pads. You can choose from two main trimming materials for the seats: fabric or leather/Alcantara combo.

In terms of options, there is a wireless charger, a powered tailgate, a Bose audio system, and ventilated front seats with preset memory. There is also a two-zone climate control system with separate air vents or those in the back row and a wide range of electronic driving aids.

Hyundai omits the powertrain details, so we assume that it stays stock. In Europe, the Kona Electric comes with two motor options rated at 156 PS (154 hp / 115 kW) and 218 PS (215 hp / 160 kW). There are also two battery options – 48.4 and 65 kWh.
