Hyundai released the current generation of the Santa Fe SUV several years ago, and a new one is already underway to its international premiere in late 2023. While that event is still far away, let us watch a spy video in the meantime.
The heavily disguised prototype was spotted near the Arctic Circle. With a much boxier exterior, the SUV looks drastically different from its predecessor and not unlike the Kia EV9. Still, a tailpipe at the rear end suggests there is a combustion engine under the hood.
Rumors say the new generation may first debut on its domestic market of South Korea in August this year. An all-electric version is highly improbable, because it would then cannibalize the Ioniq 7 sales.
