Hyundai has announced the new Sonata pricing and specs in the USA, so let’s have a look.
The cheapest spec is called SEL and starts at $27,500. It has front-wheel drive, a 2.5-liter engine with 194 PS (191 hp / 143 kW) and an eight-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is available as a $1,500 option.
The base trim level includes LED lights all around, 17-inch wheels, a two-zone HVAC, heated front seats, nine airbags, a slew of driving aids and a 12.3-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
Those in the mind for an N Line trim will get an extended list of equipment, a sporty body kit and a superior 2.5-liter turbo engine rated at 294 PS (290 hp / 216 kW). The transmission is eight-speed DCT in this version. The asking price is $35,000 before options.
Finally, there is a hybrid spec based on a 2.0-liter engine with 195 PS (192 hp / 144 kW) and a six-speed AT. It starts from $30,800 and reaches $37,200 with options.
