Hyundai has been producing customized Sonata sedans for taxi services for a while now (see video), and the latest version has just come out in South Korea.
The new Sonata Taxi has 70 mm (2.73 inches) of extra wheelbase and is assembled in China. It utilizes a 2.0-liter natural-gas engine with a six-speed automatic transmission. The seats are wrapped in wear-resistant fabric for longevity, and there is a special periscope-like attachment on the roof that houses info displays and some adaptive lights to illuminate the area around the car.
Prices start from the equivalent of $16,300.
