The latest-gen Hyundai Tucson has been repeatedly spotted testing before, and now the company finally released some details about it.
The front end of the car will follow the stylistic cues of the Santa Fe and the Palisade. The taillights will become much narrower, and a large rear diffuser will be added. You will be able to start the engine and even park your car remotely using your smartphone. On-board tech will include numerous cameras, adaptive cruise control, a 12.3-inch multimedia display, and a wireless phone charging station. The safety package will also be fairly extensive and include AEB, lane control, blind spot monitor etc.
The cabin will be finished with soft plastic moldings and several upholstery options in several selectable colors (main + stitching).
The engine palette will include gasoline and diesel units, as well as the same hybrid powertrain as the one used in the Sonata sedan/saloon. The base version will ship with a front-wheel drive, but AWD will be available as well.
Once the 2020 Hyundai Tucson comes out, it will likely compete against the Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-5, Nissan X-Trail, Peugeot 3008 Subaru Forester, Toyota RAV4, Volkswagen Tiguan, and the technically similar Kia Sportage.
