Manufacturers have been testing all sorts of vehicles at the dreaded North Loop lately, not just the sports cars. One recent example is the next-gen Hyundai Tucson.
If you look closely, you will notice the roll cage where the rear seat row used to be. Perhaps this is how the engineering department is trying to establish how rigid the body is at higher speeds.
Nothing is being disclosed about the engines the new 2021 Tucson may ship with. In all likelihood, these will include the 2.5-liter Theta3 series engine of the Hyundai Sonata and a 1.6-liter turbocharged diesel. A hybrid version is also possible later on.
The premiere of the 2021 Hyundai Tucson should occur in a year or so.
