Hyundai never fails to introduce a few unusual concept vehicles at the annual SEMA show, and this year will not be an exception. The Veloster Grappler and Veloster N Performance have already been announced (see the video for details), and two other models are joining them now.
These are called the Bisimoto VelosterRaptor N and the Rockstar Performance Garage Kona Ultimate. As you could guess, the former hatchback is a co-production with Bisimoto Engineering. It boasts new wheels, brakes, suspension, headlights, and front seats made of a plastic compound. The main upgrade concerns the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, though, which now outputs 320 hp (239 kW) instead of 275 hp (205 kW).
In turn, the Kona receives a makeover from Rockstar Performance. It sports King suspension, new headlights, 30-inch tires wrapped around 16-inch wheels, a Magnaflow exhaust system, a K&N air intake, new brakes, and a high-end speaker set. The show car packs the strongest engine on the lineup, an ECU-tuned 1.6-liter turbo V4 now rated at 177 hp (132 kW) and 265 Nm (195 lb-ft) of torque.
