Hyundai RM20e debuts in China

Hyundai has unveiled a high-end electric design study called the RM20e at the ongoing Auto China 2020 show. The car vividly demonstrates what the Hyundai N performance car subdivision is capable of given enough resources.

The vehicle is based on the electric Veloster N eTCR platform and packs a single electric motor rated as high as 810 PS (800 hp / 596 kW) and 960 Nm (708 lb-ft). It needs less than three seconds to get from zero to 100 km/h (0-62 mph).

The developer team claims the RM20e is a full-fledged racecar that lends itself to daily road driving just as well. Despite this, it will never hit production – all RM-badged concepts are being designed exclusively to collect test data on certain innovative features and then implement said features in the Hyundai N series.
