Hyundai presents the new asymmetrical Veloster hatchback

The appearance of the latest Hyundai Veloster compact hatchback at the Detroit International Motor Show really surprised no one. We’ve seen spy photos and official images showing the very same car before. Nevertheless, the exhibition booth where it was being presented to the audience got virtually overrun with news-hungry car journalists and devout Hyundai fans.

Naturally, the “supercharged” Hyundai Veloster N drew the most attention to itself, so let’s talk about that one. With a new grille, exclusive 19-inch wheels and better aerodynamic body kit, it looked like a substantial improvement over its stock counterpart.

Those who decide to buy a new Hyundai Veloster N will get sport seats, a function-packed steering wheel, and really great interior finishing.

The car is driven by a two-liter boosted gasoline engine capable of 275 hp and 350 Nm torque. It comes with a six-speed manual transmission and features an advanced steering assistance system alongside several selectable drive modes.

The high-end next-generation Hyundai Veloster N should become available by the end of 2018.
