The South Korean automotive giant will soon be starting production of a new sedan/saloon model called the Aura in India. The car will eventually phase out the Xcent sedan available since 2014 and its ‘Nios’ version launched in August this year.
All the manufacturer has shared with us so far is this short teaser video that only shows the badge of the upcoming model. Still, leaked spy photos show what looks a Grand i10 Nios-like front fascia design, boomerang-shaped DRLs sitting to the right and left of the radiator grille, and a rear end with edgy brake lights.
Chances are good that the interior of the Aura will also remind us of the Grand i10 Nios. If so, then this means a hovering multimedia display visually united with the digital instrument panel.
As for the engine range, we expect the Aura to inherit the Xcent range. This includes a non-tubro gasoline engine with 83 hp (62 kW) and a turbo diesel with 75 hp (56 kW). Manual and semi-automatic transmission types should both be available.
The premiere will occur in a few days.
