The compact-sized Ioniq 2 hatchback EV is set to reach the Hyundai dealerships in Europe next year.
The car is based on the same simplified version of the E-GMP platform as the Kia EV2 (see video). Hyundai believes it will mainly compete against the Renault 5 and Volkswagen ID.2 once it arrives. The production will take place at the same factory in Turkey where the company currently produces its i10, i20 and Bayon models.
A full reveal is expected in late 2025.
