The Infiniti QX60 Monograph Concept that debuted last fall gave us a good idea of what the second generation of the QX60 SUV will be proportioned like. Today, the carmaker reveals some further technical details.
It is now official that the next-gen model will ship with the same 3.5-liter V6 engine under the hood rated at 299 PS (295 hp / 220 kW). However, the old CVT will make room for a new ZF nine-speed automatic transmission. A 10:1 gear ratio should lend it nice acceleration dynamics and fuel economy when cruising at higher speeds.
According to the manufacturer, the new auto gearbox supports a mode called Sports and switches gears so smoothly as to be nearly unnoticeable. Furthermore, it comes with a drive mode selector and five profiles to switch between.
