According to Automotive News, Infiniti could produce an all-new crossover SUV by around 2025 that would slot in half a notch below the QX60 (see the gallery here) and provide some competition to the Mercedes-Benz GLE and Lexus RX.
The current QX60 fills what is essentially the same market niche, but the upcoming crossover is going to be smaller. As such, it will occupy the position between the QX50 and the QX60. It will allegedly be based on the same platform as the latter, but only offer two seat rows with no three-row option.
Automotive News does not specify whether a coupe-like variant is also under development. According to the source, Infiniti plans to target families with either no children, or just one or two.
