Infiniti QX80 rolling into 2021 with more trim levels and options

Infiniti’s largest SUV, the QX80, has received a modest-sized update in North America, gaining equipment and versions.

Customers in the USA and Canada can currently choose from three available trims – Luxe, Premium Select, and Sensory. The 2021 model year introduces the basic trim level to an updated driver assist package consisting of adaptive cruise control, blind zone monitoring and road markup control. It also takes advantage of an updated infotainment system and a second-gen “smart mirror” (SVRM), which is now included in the base spec. You can toggle it between regular rearview mirror mode and video camera mode.

The Premium Select boasts Dark Chrome details such as 22-inch wheels, radiator grille, air intake louvers in the front fenders, and mirror housings. Three new interior upholstery colors become available: Graphite, Truffle Brown, and Sahara Stone.

The top trim – Sensory – flaunts 22-inch forged wheels, new ceiling lining and chromed mirror caps. It also features a hydraulic damping system for reduced rocking and smoother driving.

The only available powertrain – a 5.6-liter V8 mated to a seven-speed automatic gearbox – carries over unchanged.

Infiniti ships the U.S.-spec QX80 from Japan.
