California-based company Calmini Products has tailored a custom Infiniti QX80 for the Wander Women Racing Team, which will soon compete in the all-female Rebelle Rally.
The tuner picked the Luxe spec to work with, which offers such modern niceties as heated and ventilated front seats, a three-zone climate control, Bose audio, and a reversing camera capable of outputting the image onto the rearview mirror.
Other than that, the heavy-duty SUV boasts special aftermarket tires, bumpers with optimized geometry, a winch, reinforced suspension, towing hooks and cables, Maxtrax recovery tracks, and a couple of spare wheels.
The car got to keep its 5.6-liter V8 with 405 hp (302 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque intact. A seven-speed automatic gearbox and the All-Mode 4WD Terrain Select system send the power to all four wheels.
The Rebelle-2020 rally route spans roughly 2,000 kilometers (1,240 miles) from Lake Tahoe to the Imperial Sand Dunes next to the U.S.-Mexican border. Participants will be prohibited from using GPS navigation.
