Infiniti has begun the teaser campaign anticipating the release of the next-gen QX80 SUV. You can already check out a dozen of photos showing a camouflaged example, as well as a video focusing on individual design details.
The full reveal is expected to happen right before the New York International Auto Show on March 20, 2024. In the meantime, Infiniti plans to release a whole mini-series of videos about the new QX80, entitled “Artistry in Motion”. The first episode is dedicated to the camo pattern worn by the pre-production test vehicles. It was invented by digital artist Kaoru Tanaka, who drew her inspiration from the visualizations of the human DNA and neural signal transmission in the brain.
From what we can see thus far, the car is getting a multi-faceted headlight units, updated taillights and nearly upright a-pillars. Overall, it resembles the Infiniti QX Monograph Concept that debuted in last August.
The video teaser confirms these similarities. In the end, it shows the car without any camo in a dark room. You can make a screenshot and then lift shadows in an image editor to reveal the outlines of the car, its flared fenders and sculpted hood. With this trick, it becomes even more obvious that the new QX80 draws inspiration from the Monograph Concept.
All technical parameters remain to be revealed.
