Check out a replica of the International LoneStar semi

International LoneStar trucks are known all around the world and often sold as toys, but none of the toys comes as close to imitating the real thing as this wood-carved replica does.

As some of you have already guessed, it is the latest work of Woodworking Art, a YouTuber based in Vietnam who is famous for his richly detailed and functional replicas. The first thing that catches the eye this time around is the radiator grille, which has 36 openings at each side just like the original.

Producing a grille like this must have been challenging, as the attached video makes clear. Then there are all the slim body curves, rounded fenders, and the intricately sculpted hood. Droplet-shaped headlamps come integrated in the fenders, and the cabin features a designated sleeping area echoing the design of the grille – just like the real thing does.

Woodworking Art says he spent a great deal of time cutting and filing each part to perfection, which is all the more shocking when you realize how many parts there is. Ten wheels, headlights, strap-on fuel tanks, running boards – the replica is a masterpiece in its own way.
