Khodrobank.com has published some spy photos of a pre-production Iran Khodro Ray crossover. When it may reach the market remains unknown.
The model is based on a platform called PF1, which was originally designed by PSA but later modified by Iran Khodro. The same architecture underpins the first generation of the Peugeot 2008 (see video). The test vehicle seems largely based on that Peugeot, but its tailgate resembles that of the second-generation 2008.
Rumor has it that the CUV will ship with a choice between two engines. One is a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated mill rated at 113 PS (111 hp / 83 kW), while the other one is a 1.7-liter turbo rated at 160 PS (158 hp / 118 kW).
The interior is not shown in detail, but it appears finalized. The manufacturer promises us a modern infotainment system with a touchscreen display, a reversing camera and ESP.
