Meet Darc Mono, a motorhome for two people going on a 14-day trip

German automotive company Darc has shared the first images of its off-road-capable campervan called Mono, which comes packed with everything a couple may need to survive in the most distant wilderness imaginable for two weeks on end.

The added framework lends the Iveco Daily 4WD a panoramic glass dome and a see-through roof. Interior highlights include a spacious kitchen with a grille, a dining area, a shower with a WC, and an office space. The latter has an image projector, a 5.1-channel surround sound system, and multiple wall sockets. A bed for two occupies a small space at the ceiling when not needed.

Technically, the build is based on the stock Iveco Daily (see video) with its three-liter diesel engine. The bodywork is new, as are KW suspension parts, 37-inch tires, a carbon-fiber snorkel, and a winch rated for 10 metric tons (22,000 lbs).

The engineering department of the company has a cooperation background with BMW and Daimler AG, among other automakers, and has professionals skilled in designing Formula racers and sports yachts, so the overall level of execution should be every bit as superb as the images suggest.

Prices are pending. Orders will open later this month, and the first motorhomes will ship in August.
