China reveals its own X6

Sehol – a Chinese vehicle sub-brand controlled by JAC – has unveiled a new crossover utility vehicle named the X6, which should appeal to younger target audiences and phase out the elderly S5 (see video).

The car is 4,504 mm long, 1,850 mm wide and 1,698 mm tall. It sports a futuristic front fascia, contrasting accents on the lower doors and bi-color wheels sized 18 inches across. The taillights have a connecting strip between them, which looks like it could be equipped with LEDs.

The interior is largely black with vivid orange accents and lighter trim on the doors, seats and middle armrest. The steering wheel has four spokes, the transmission selector is shaped like a rotary knob, and the infotainment display is touch-sensitive.

Powering the ride is a 1.5-liter engine capable of 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW) and 210 Nm (155 lb-ft). The rear axle benefits from multi-link design. All other specifications remain to be announced, as does the launch date.
