New JAC iEV A50 to debut at Beijing 2018

A new all-electric sedan iEV A50 by the Chinese manufacturer JAC will debut at the International Automotive Exhibition in Beijing, China on March 30th through April 4th, 2018, the company stated. The vehicle will be made available for purchase immediately following its official introduction.

The manufacturer revealed almost everything there is to know about the new JAC iEV A50 on the official website. Thus, we now know that it’s going to be 4.5 m (14 ft.) long – quite small for its market segment, really. It will be driven by a single electric engine with 150 horsepower and will be able to travel up to 500 km (310 mi) before complete discharge. Its top going speed is manufacturer-limited at only 150 km/h (93 mph), though.

Actually, the new JAC iEV A50 will enter its domestic market in China in two trim versions, and all of the above applies to the high-end one. The cheaper car will get smaller batteries for only 330 km (205 mi) driving range.

Industry professionals claim they are convinced that the new JAC iEV A50 will be sold at a minimum of 70,000 Chinese Yuan, thus becoming one of the cheapest cars in its class.
