JAC dreams about an electric supercar

Automaker JAC has lifted the veil over its latest concept car, De-Fine. It’s a super-EV that utilizes two electric motors to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in three seconds or so.

The company calls it something in between of a sedan, a coupe and a prototype racer. It has five doors if you count the tailgate, and the rear ones are back-hinged for extra style points. The cabin seats four people and sports an original transmission tunnel design.

According to the manufacturer, the De-Fine runs on a brand-new 800-volt platform. It supports different kinds of electric and hybrid powertrains with either two or four driven wheels. The show car is said to have 625 PS (616 hp / 460 kW) at its disposal and make use of a quick-release battery pack that you can either recharge or replace at a dedicated station.
