In Jaguar Land Rover created the steering wheel of the future with artificial intelligence. In honor of the designer Malcolm Sayer, who worked in a British company from 1951 to 1970, the novelty was called Sayer.
The aim of the manufacturer
was to create an autonomous system that would unite all the cars in a single
network. With the help of voice control, the device will perform a variety of
tasks ranging from self-drive to the execution of the alarm function, since the
steering wheel will be removable. Sayer will take care of all the driver
settings, the development of the route and even the supply of an autonomous
vehicle.
As representatives of the
company reported: "Sayer - the first steering wheel with artificial intelligence
based on voice activation, which is able to perform hundreds of different
tasks. For the driver, Sayer will be the admission ticket to a special club
that offers the opportunity to use the car not only as private property, but
also to share it with other people".
The public premiere of the
unique novelty will be held within the framework of the Jaguar Land Rover
Technology Festival in London at the end of this week.
