Jaguar presented a race car on electric traction

On the ongoing in Frankfurt motor show, the company Jaguar introduced its new racing crossover I-Pace eTrophy. According to the representatives of the brand, in the next year this all-terrain vehicle will be launched at the eTrophy race, which is called the "electric" Formula-E. Racing version of the car, in contrast to its usual fellow, was "in load" reconfigured suspension and body kit, featuring increased aerodynamic properties.

The Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy is powered by two electric motors with a total output of 400 hp. About the speed of the racing novelty, the creators were silent, but the usual version of the car accelerates to 100 km/h in 4 seconds. A battery charge is enough to "wind" 500 kilometers. An interesting fact is that the basis for Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy lays absolutely new platform, which the British automaker will use in future to produce new models of electric cars.

In the series Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy will go already next year.
