According to an official statement of the British car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover, sales of the next-generation electric car Jaguar I-Pace will be launched in Europe as early as spring 2018.
The newcomer is going to face competition from the battery-powered Tesla Model X crossover. The official Jaguar website offers several videos with the new I-Pace running tests, but the body of the car is hidden under a thick layer of camouflage.
According to reliable sources in automotive industry, the mass-produced model of 2018 I-Pace is extremely unlikely to differ much from its initial concept version revealed some time before. The car should come with a spacious interior, a roomy trunk compartment, and a high road clearance.
As had been revealed earlier, the new 2018 Jaguar I-Pace is set in motion by two electric motors together capable of 400 horsepower and 700 Nm torque. Driven by these, the vehicle should be able to accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in around 4 seconds and travel up to 320 kilometers (200 miles) before it has to be charged again.
