Jaguar C-Type Revival reminisces about the marque’s Le Mans glory

If you are a diehard C-Type fan, now is the time to act quickly and grab one out of eight cars belonging to the just-announced Jaguar C-Type Revival series. Each vehicle looks like a spitting copy of the 1953 Le Mans winner and has nearly identical specs.

The resurrected racer emerges seven decades after its original debut back in 1951. Its wavy hood conceals a 3.4-liter inline-six engine fitted with triple Weber 40DCO3 carburetors. The wheels are hit with 220 hp (164 kW) total.

Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works will assemble every unit by hand using the surviving documents and blueprints, as well as 3D scans of the original car. Shipments will start next year.
