New Jaguar I-Pace moves with the times

Jaguar I-Pace, the first mass-issue all-electric SUV to be released by the English luxury car manufacturer, will be officially introduced to the wide audience in England on March 1, 2018, the company reported.

The vehicle is based on a namesake concept which debuted two years ago. Once out, it is going to have to compete with the latest battery-driven Tesla and Audi models in their market segment.

The new Jaguar I-Pace has a capacious battery array which comes with a driving range of up to 500 km (310 mi) and a quick charge feature. The engine can produce up to 400 hp with 700 Nm of torque, which means that the car should be able to accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4 seconds or so.

Industry professionals tend to agree that the car is going to weigh around 2 metric tons (4,400 lbs.). It’s also going to hit the showrooms with a wide variety of options and driving assistance features.

The new Jaguar I-Pace SUV will be priced around £60,000 once it’s out, so it’s a good idea to pre-order it right now and save – as long as you’d like to drive your very own, luxurious, all-electric SUV.
