Jaguar reveals tech specs of the new I-Pace

The British premium automotive brand Jaguar has revealed detailed information concerning its first-ever full-electric SUV, the I-Pace. Among other things, the car is reported to have a driving range of 480 kilometers (~300 miles).

The all-new Jaguar I-Pace utilizes its own purpose-built car platform and comes equipped with adaptive suspension. It is driven by two electric engines with 200 hp total output which draw power from a capacious battery array and can accelerate the vehicle 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.8 seconds. The top going speed is manufacturer-limited at 200 km/h.

Perhaps more importantly, the new Jaguar I-Pace can be charged using a regular wall socket. It would need around 10 hours to replenish its batteries. The manufacturer claims it will also remain fully operational in extremely low air temperatures.

On the high-tech side of things, the new Jaguar I-Pace comes packed with safety and assistance-oriented features which can help the driver to find their way out of virtually any road situation – or add to their comfort. For instance, there is a feature that prepares the car for the ride by pre-heating the interior and adjusting the seat configuration to suit the owner’s tastes.
