British supercar builder Jaguar now has a ‘racing taxi’ attraction going on the North Loop of the famous Nürburgring Circuit in Nürburgring, Germany. Everyone interested are invited to sit in a Jaguar XJR575 or an F-Type SVR next to a professional racing driver for a nearly 21-kilometer (13-mile) trip.
The fee is €199 per ride. All passengers get video footage of their trip for free.
Both performance cars pack 5.0-liter turbocharged engines rated at 575 hp (approx. 430 kW). It takes 4.4 seconds for the XJ sedan to get going at 100 km/h (62 mph), whereas the F-type coupe achieves the same result in 3.7 seconds. Their top going speeds are limited at 300 and 322 km/h (187 / 200 mph), respectively.
Sounds great, but you wanted a different ride? No problem! The racing taxi car pool also has BMW, Lamborghini, Mercedes and Porsche cars in it for those who prefer one of these brands. Each will cost you €300 per loop.
The attraction will remain open until November 2018.
