Jaguar C-Type Edition 70 reminisces about its Le Mans victories in 1953

Jaguar has rolled out two special C-Type sports cars united under a ’70 Edition’ badge. The duo celebrates the first, second, fourth, and ninth places the C-Type won in the Le Mans endurance race of 1953. Each one costs £1.5 million.

One of the specials boasts a unique exterior shade called Verbier Silver, which if offset by a cabin wrapped in Cranberry Red leather. The other one sticks to the everyone’s favorite British Racing Green and has a Suede Green interior trim.

Both cars wear silver badges designed by jewelry company Deakin & Francis. The same company is responsible for the commemorative dashboard plaque made from a fuel tank piece of an original 69-year-old C-Type racecar.

Power is supplied by the Weber 40DCO3 3.4-liter six-cylinder engine with three carburetors. The transmission gets hit with 223 PS (220 hp / 164 kW).
