Of the first Jaguar D-Type Le Mans racers goes on sale

The 1954 Jaguar D-Type considered to be one of the most important vehicles in the British marque’s motorsports history will cross the auction block next month expected to fetch a seven-digit sum.

This particular vehicle was one of the world’s first three XKC prototypes that Jaguar built for the 24 Hours of the Le Mans. It was piloted by none other than the legendary Stirling Moss.

The selling price is estimated between U.S. $6.5 million and $8.5 million.
