Helm, a recently founded car restoration business focused on bringing back classical Jaguars, has unveiled the Helm E-type, its first major project based on a 60-year-old sports car. Plans exist for 20 such units.
The restomod gets to keep 30% of its original stainless-steel frame while gaining a new aluminum hood and modern doors. The bumpers are custom and the lights all around LED-based. Gorgeous multi-spoke wheels round off a sleek and elegant image.
The interior is arguably even more special with its abundance of leather and Alcantara with handcrafted chrome and raw aluminum details. Modern features include a HVAC system, an audio set, and LED ambient lighting.
Powering the Helm E-type is a 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine hitting a five-speed manual transmission with 304 PS (300 hp / 224 kW).
