Raise your brows at this 2JZ-swapped Jaguar E-Type for SEMA

Racer and tuner Faruk Kugay has come to the SEMA with a weirdly endearing Jaguar E-Type, which can be found at the Eneos booth right now. An E-Type in name only, it runs on various BMW parts and has Supra’s legendary 2JZ-GTE six-banger under the hood.

The bodywork comes from a 1969 Jaguar E-Type four-seater (see video). Its original engine makes room for a new mill that in turn enjoys upgraded pistons and connecting rods, cylinder heads, a BorgWarner turbocharger kit, a new intercooler and other such mods. Kugay claims the car pumps out around 750 horsepower (560 kilowatts) and sends them to the wheels through a five-speed manual transmission borrowed from a BMW M3.

The wheel arches and fenders are new, too, and inspired by Jaguar racecars. The rear suspension largely uses BMW 5-Series (E60) components, the track is widened at both ends, and there are Rotiform wheels in the arches. As for the brakes, the front axle inherits its set from a 2003 Chevrolet Corvette, while the rear axle uses the more recent 2010 BMW 535i rotors and calipers.
