Bring-a-Trailer has just sold a colorful wireframe sculpture depicting the iconic Jaguar E-Type in a scale of 1:3. The winning bid was a cool $4,500.
The model is 152.4 cm (59.5 in) long, 61 cm (23.9 in) wide and 38 cm (14.9 in) tall. The hood and the doors open, and there is even an imitated soft top. The wheels rotate, as does the steering wheel, and you can move around the seats and the sun visors.
The creator of the replica used metal wire of varying diameter and color. He used silver for the bodywork, brown for the cabin, red for the taillights and gold for the bumpers and the engine.
