The Jaguar F-Pace goes through a mid-generational refresh this year. We have already seen the standard SUV being tested, and today, the performance-packed SVR follows suit.
The car sports updated headlights and reshaped air intakes. Inside, it gets a new 12.3-inch digital dashboard and a new version of the Touch Pro infotainment system.
Rumor has it that the currently used 5.0-liter supercharged V8 with its 550 hp (410 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque may yield its place to the technically superior BMW V8 4.4. Having said that, the supercharged mill may stay in the lineup until the factory that produces it shuts down (in the coming fall, according to schedule). Furthermore, as a farewell gift, Jaguar might even bolster its output a bit.
F-Pace SVR development mules have already been spotted both at the Nürburgring and on public roads; the former one had an internal roll cage. This might indicate that Jaguar is trying to best the lap score of 7:42.253 set by the Audi RS Q8.
The 2021 Jaguar F-Pace facelift should premiere later in the year, while the SVR spec will likely hit the market next year.
