Jaguar F-Type Heritage 60 Edition cosplays the iconic E-Type

The legend that’s the Jaguar E-Type turns sixty next year, and its maker feels like celebrating the milestone with a special edition of its modern F-type model.

Called the Heritage 60 Edition, the production run will consist of 60 coupes and roadsters painted Sherwood Green. This would be the first time Jaguar re-used the iconic dark green paint for a production car since the 1960s. Further modifications will include 20-inch forged wheels, numerous chrome details and black brake calipers.

On the interior side of things, the center console will be trimmed with aluminum and the seats with a combination of Caraway and Ebony Windsor leather. There will be special floor mats, side sill plates, commemorative plaques and E-Type 60 Collection badges. The same badges will adorn the 12 original E-Type vehicles the company plans to restore next year. Modern touches will include a 12.3-inch digital dash and a Touch Pro infotainment system with OTA updates, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.

The five-liter V8 the AWD sports car comes with pumps out 575 PS (567 hp / 423 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, taking it from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.7 seconds and ultimately to 299 km/h (185 mph).

All cars will be assembled by hand at the Castle Bromwich factory. Pre-orders are open starting from £122,500.
