A quartet of temperamental European roadsters muscle it out on the drag strip in one of latest videos from the Carwow team. All cars have three things in common: two seats, a detachable roof and a powerful engine.
The first contestant is a Mercedes-AMG SL 55 equipped with a twin-turbo V8 rated at 476 PS (469 hp / 350 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. Going up against it is a Porsche 911 GTS with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine packing 480 PS (473 hp / 353 kW) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque.
The third contender is a BMW M850i making use of a 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbo’d to deliver 530 PS (523 hp / 390 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. Rounding off the list is a Jaguar F-Type R, the only car to eschew turbos for a mechanical supercharger. Armed with a 5.0-liter V8, it slams the wheels with 575 PS (567 hp / 423 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft).
