Jaguar I-Pace gets a minor update

It seems like Jaguar has followed in the footsteps of Tesla – the company chose to release small updates to its vehicles in a constant stream, rather than withhold them until the time comes for a mid-life refresh. The I-Pace SUV has recently received a software update, and now the time has come for new equipment.

Starting today, Jaguar I-Pace buyers in Europe can get their cars with stronger 11-kW chargers. When plugged into a powerful tri-phase wall socket, the new charger fills the entire 90-kWh battry of the car in slightly above 8.5 hours. The EV also supports charging at dedicated stations reaching hundreds of kilowatts in power.

Another novelty comes in the shape of an updated infotainment system. The 10-inch screen stays the same, but the interface is new, and it now supports 4G and eSIM technologies. The satellite navigator now displays all the adjacent charging stations together with their max power ratings.

The rearview mirror now boasts a display that feeds a live video stream from the upper rear-mounted camera. An air ionizer has been added, and you can opt for larger 19-inch wheels instead of the stock 18-inch ones.
