Luxury carmaker Jaguar has introduced a limited-issue Touring version of its XE SV Project 8 sedan/saloon. The batch will consist of 15 cars with toned-down exteriors and four seats inside. Prices are not available yet, but the non-touring Project 8 retails starting from £150,000.
The newcomer has a less aggressively styled front splitter and a small fixed rear spoiler instead of the adjustable carbon rear wing. There are four paints to choose from, including Corris Grey Satin and British Racing Green.
Things remain unchanged from the technical point of view, though. The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 Touring comes equipped with the same old 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine rated at 600 hp (447 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb×ft) of torque. The power unit links to an eight-speed automatic transmission that takes 0.2 s to switch gears. Sprinting from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour (62 mph) takes 3.5 seconds, and the maximum speed is 300 km/h (186 mph).
The original Jaguar XE SV Project 8 claimed the title of the fastest-going street-legal sedan of the Nürburgring in 2017. The vehicle completed the North Loop in 7 minutes 21.2 seconds.
