Jaguar introduces China to a longer version of its sedan

The British luxury car maker JaguarLandRover has presented an XE series sedan with a somewhat elongated wheelbase. The new car receives an additional ā€œLā€ affix to its model number. The presentation ceremony took place during the International Car Show in Guangzhou, China – not just a coincidence this time around, since the car was developed especially for the Chinese market. The 100 millimeters of added wheelbase length should improve the comfort of the passengers in the back seats.

Jaguar XEL, the made-for-China version of Jaguar, comes equipped with a 2.0L, 4V supercharged gasoline engine rated 200 to 250 HP depending on the modification.

The former variant reaches 100 kmph within 8.3 seconds and peaks out at 230 kmph. The 250 HP version beats this result with 7.3 seconds and 240 kmph, respectively.

Even the most basic version of Jaguar XEL comes with active suspension, panoramic roof, multimedia system, automatic cruise control and a range of other options.
