CarWOW has arranged for a fight between the most powerful production-issue Jaguar and the range-topping Mercedes-AMG E 63 S Estate. Which one do you think is faster?
The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 belongs to a strictly limited edition and draws its power from a 5.0-liter V8 engine supercharged to deliver 600 hp (447 kW) and up to 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission is tasked with delivering the momentum to all four wheels. The curb weight of the car with the carbon-fiber aero kit, the roll cage and the bucket seats included amounts to just 1,670 kilos (3,681 lbs).
The Mercedes-AMG E 63 S Estate weighs nearly 270 kg (600 lbs) more and relies on its stock 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo rated at 612 hp (456 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque. The gearbox is nine-speed auto, and it drives all four wheels.
