The Jaguar XE received a mid-life refresh last year (see video), but it did not stop the company from updating it once again straight after the larger XF model.
The 2021 Jaguar XE gains an electric motor for its Ingenim 2.0 diesel spec, which raises its output from 180 to 204 hp (134 – 152 kW, respectively). The two-liter gasoline engines stay stock at 250 and 300 hp (186 – 224 kW). All cars use the same eight-speed transmission design and come with a choice between RWD and AWD.
Inside, the Pivi Pro infotainment system has an enhanced GUI and menu ergonomics, and supports dual SIM cards along with OTA updates. The British company decided not to redesign the front fascia to accommodate a larger touch-sensitive display, keeping the diagonal size down to ten inches. The digital dashboard still measures 12.3 inches across, but boasts revised graphics.
Sales should begin this winter.
