Arden builds AJ 24 RS to address the lack of Jaguar XE SVR

Many Jaguar fans find it disappointing that the lineup of their favorite brand is still missing an XE SVR model. This is where the car tuning workshop Arden comes in with its latest development, the AJ 24 RS sedan that can render waiting for the SVR more bearable.

The engineers began with a mass-issue copy of the Jaguar XE S 3.0 V6 capable of 380 hp (283 kW). They managed to raise the performance of the engine to 463 hp (345 kW) by installing a new exhaust system, improving the turbocharger and updating the engine control firmware, among other things. They also readjusted suspension for better overall dynamics and steering.

The stock Jaguar XE takes five seconds to accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph). The modded one must perform much better than that, but no figures are available at the moment.

On the outside, the AJ 24 RS sports an anti-wing, a new diffusor and exhaust pipes, a redesigned front bumper, a bonnet with two “nostrils”, expanded wheel arches and 20-inch forged wheels. The interior greets with a different kind of leather finishing, floor mats with embroidered logos, as well as aluminum door sills and pedal pads.

As for Jaguar itself, the company’s plans for the nearest future include a limited release of just 300 copies of 600-hp (450 kW) Jaguar XE. The manufacturer had explicitly stated earlier that it won’t be releasing an XE SVR model; however, a very suspicious modification of XE has recently been spotted running street tests, leading many to believe that Jaguar changed its mind and will be bringing that car on the market after all.
