Nature-friendly Jaguar XJ get out for a test drive

Car spotters have discovered the next-generation Jaguar XJ out on the snowy roads with what is being reported as production-ready body and headlights.

Based on the photos, the new XJ has a smoother side profile than its predecessor did thanks to the slanted roofline. The door handles now slide out when necessary, and the fuel tank door has been reshaped and moved to above the rear wheel. The trunk lid appears shorter and flatter.

A closer glance reveals the absence of visible exhaust tips, which is a telltale sign of an electric vehicle.

The new Jaguar XJ comes based on the JLR (MLA) longitudinal platform and should debut on official terms in the coming months. Once it hits the showrooms, its primary rival list will include the Tesla Model S, the Porsche Taycan, the Audi E-Tron GT, and the Mercedes EQS.
