New Jaguar Land Rover CEO Thierry Bolloré intends to revitalize the company by ditching multiple unprofitable Jaguar vehicles, including those still in development.
Perhaps most importantly, this concerns the future flagship saloon that the automaker has invested plenty of money into: the all-electric Jaguar XJ. Bolloré says he doubts the market viability of the car.
The XJ had been scheduled for premiere this summer, but the company later pushed it back to the third quarter of 2021. Should the XJ get the axe, three other Jaguar concepts built on the same technological platform will probably follow suit.
The fate of the XE anf XF sedans (shown in the attached video) also remains undecided: neither is very popular among customers right now.
