Thierry Bolloré, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover and ex-CEO of Renault, has shed light on Reimagine, the newly adopted development strategy of the British car corporation that puts complete electrification on top of the priority list.
Land Rover intends to bring its first EV to the market in 2024, and unveil a total of six all-electric models by 2025. Jaguar hopes to have made a complete switch to electric powertrains by that moment. The company highlights that there will be no new XJ flagship among them. By early 2030s, both marques will offer electric variants of their every car model.
In addition to the above, Land Rover will be getting two new tech platforms and Jaguar will be getting one. Aside from battery cars, JLR is looking into fuel cell car tech. The first prototypes are already in development and should hit the streets for testing next year.
