TWR to produce a restomod based on the Jaguar XJS

British automotive company TWR is getting ready to unveil its first post-revival project -a restored and modified Jaguar XJS (see video). The sports car, which has only been previewed in these three photos so far, is scheduled for completion in early 2024.

The original XJS went on sale in 1975 and remained in production until 1996. The restomod is a ‘radical reinvention’ of the original vehicle, TWR says without providing any further specifics. It is even unknown whether it is gas-powered or electric.

Back in the 1980s and ‘90s, TWR used to take Jaguar cars and build custom racing prototypes out of them. In 2023, a resurrection of the brand was announced by the son of the departed Tom Walkinshaw, founder of the original company.
